PROVALVE manufactures all types of valves required in the HP section of a urea and melamin plant. For PROVALVE high pressure valves, quality is a must from the start. This is for our own benefit and for the safety of our customers. Our optimized product range is easily adaptable to different pipe connection standards. Due to the highly aggressive nature of the process media at 210 °C and 250 bar, the seemingly simple urea process demands the highest technical standards. This applies in particular to the valve technology in the synthesis loop.
Our materials: Quality begins with the materials. All valves are completely free of copper containing metals. The valve bodies are manufactured from closed-die forgings or from a single forged block.
We source our materials exclusively from reputable forging companies in western Europe.
Our Standard materials for the body:
- A182 F316L urea grade / 1.4435
- A182 F310 MoLN / 1.4466
- SAF™ 2906 from Alleima / UNS S32906
Huey, Strauss and ferrite content testing are standard for body and bonnet materials.
Trim: We use Ferralium 255 and/or HVD1 for the internal parts.

Angle valves with screwed flanges or weld ends are the standard valves in any installation and are crucial for the reliability and safety of the system. In order to reduce failure rates and improve serviceability, our angle valves differ from those of our competitors in a number of details.
Control valves
Connections are obtained directly on the single piece that constitutes the valve body to keep the valve weight low, while the shape of the internals does not leave dead zones. In fact, dead zones are the cause of corrosion, since carbamate increases its corrosive action particularly in the zones due to the failure of oxygen protection. This series of high pressure swing through butterfly control valves has been specially designed for urea plant applications. The valve body and the disc is from a single forged block of special stainless steel with a special packing and internal bearing system to warrant maximum reliability. With elliptical disc plug for leakage class III as a option. The split body, angle control valve have a one-piece upper body with integral bonnet to avoid flange connection and dead zones, streamlined flow design, lenticular coupling between body and seat without any gasket, one-piece plug and stem design. Special packing systems are the main features which makes PROVALVE urea control valves as top as regards quality and performance. Different type of plugs are available: Contoured plug linear, modified linear and equal percentage flow characteristic for control service and quick opening for on- off service are available as standard. Specialty designed anti-cavitation multi stage cascade trim for most critical service.
